Value For Money

We setup an iPower Pro Plan a couple months ago, which was plan and simple. It consists of unlimited disk space with unlimited of bandwidth for $ 3.95, which is far from the cheapest as well.

Their features are limited, but it is the bare minimum you will need for running a site. Such as 25 MySQL databases and 2500 email accounts. Features include the usual support for PHP, MySQL and ulimited sub domains, however they do offer Windows based hosting with support for environments like ASP and .NET 2, however I don't think that justifies the price. With the limited features, this account may be suitable for smaller websites, but in the end you are going to want your website to grow and do not want to deal with upgrading headaches.

Reliability

iPowers backbone consists of 4 tier 1 data connection that run only on AT&T, which is renown for its reliabliltiy. State of the art Dell PowerEdge, and HP ProLiant servers provide very robust and reliable service. We have had a very brief downtime with our test account, and iPower lives up to their guarantee of a 99.9% uptime.

Control Panel

iPower has created there own control panel called vDeck, and has received a lot of praise for its flexibility and ease of use. We think it comes very close to CPanel, but in the end it still gets the job done very easily.

Customer Support

As stated before, we have been extremely disappointed with iPower's support. We didn't run into any problems while setting up our test account, but we were not able to get any of our dummy questions answered in time. We were left holding twiddling our thumbs while waiting for an agent to respond either on their live chat or their toll free number. Regardless of your experience with web hosting, we believe customer support is a very important factor, and if you cannot get through easily it will cause a lot of headaches further down the road.
